Year 2 - JR
Hi and welcome to our class page. This page will show you lots of information about what life is like in Year 2, as well as what is important to the staff and children at Moss Bury School.
I'm Mrs Norris and I share the Year 2 class with Mr Dean. The children are also lucky to have Mrs Allen and Ms Brolia in class to help them with their learning.
Year 2 is a very important year as the children will be sitting their SATs in May. The expectations are therefore very high and both year 2 classes have already starting preparation for these.
Parents/Carers will receive SATS information throughout the year but if any questions pop up please come and chat to me.

What learning looks like in our class
At Moss Bury, we are proud to lead our lives based on four core values. These influence our behaviour all the time, both in and out of school. Our four key values are:
- Hard Work
- Love of Learning
Learning commitments are the core skills that we learn throughout our time at Moss Bury. If we commit ourselves to learning these skills this year, we will have a great start to our learning next year.
Maths - To learn number facts up to 20.
Writing - To plan and write a series of simple sentences with FSCL, pronouns and 'and'.
Reading - To find and retrieve.
Behaviour for Learning
Every half term the children will focus on a learning behaviour which will help them to achieve in class as well as being a life long skill.
This term we are being Creative Caterpillars.
