Mossy After School Club

Our Mossy After School Club provides additional childcare for our school community after school hours.

Registration Forms

  • Before children can attend the club, parents must have filled out a Registration Form, which can be obtained from the school office or downloaded below.
  • Parents will be asked to complete the form, read the terms and conditions and sign the form.
  • They will also be given a copy of the Terms and Conditions for their records.
  • Please ensure that we have a current contact number for the person responsible for collecting your child.

  • Sessions run from 3:15pm to 5:30pm. Children will have a choice of a selection of cold drinks (not fizzy) and a snack during their time at the club.
  • Various activities will be available every session and there will be the opportunity to play outside on days when the weather is suitable. 
  • Those children who attend the activity after school clubs from 3:15pm to 4:15pm can join Mossy Club immediately after their activity club has finished; however, the place must be pre-booked and the sum of £6.00 will still be charged, as this guarantees their place.


  • In order for children to attend Mossy Club, places must be booked in advance through the school office. 
  • Booking forms are available from Mossy Club, the school office or can be downloaded below and must be submitted on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly, half termly or termly basis. 
  • Payment is required at the time of booking.

We do NOT accept bookings that require a place on the same day of booking.

Payments and Fees

  • Sessions cost £6.00 and fees must be paid in advance, either by cash or cheque made payable to Moss Bury School.
  • Fees can be paid weekly, fortnightly, monthly, half-termly or termly and are non-refundable. 
  • Refunds will only be given if a child is sent home from school sick or is absent due to illness. In this instance, you must contact the school office by 10:00am. Failure to do so will result in no fees being refunded. 
  • Any returned cheques will be charged at the current bank rate. 
  • A £5.00 penalty fee will be charged if children are not collected  by 5:30pm. 

Sessions cannot be swapped or exchanged for future dates.


  • If a place has been pre-booked and paid for and children are absent from school, the parent must inform the school by 10:00am on the day in question. 
  • If children are sent home and/or are ill and absent from school, parents will only be refunded the fees if they have contacted the school office by 10:00am on the day of absence. 
  • Failure to inform the school of children's absence will result in a loss of fees. 

Collection of Children

  • Children must be collected from Mossy Club by 5:30pm and signed out by parents or carers.
  • Parents or carers are responsible for ensuring that children are collected on time.
  • In the event of an unavoidable delay, it is parent’s responsibility to make alternative arrangements. 
  • No child should be left at the club after 5:30pm and, if this should happen, there will be a £5.00 penalty fee. 
  • Persistent late collection will result in children's exclusion from the club. 

Safety and Discipline

  • We expect all children to behave responsibly, be courteous to each other and to the staff, and to carry out any instruction given by a member of staff. 
  • If an incident should occur, it will be logged and parents will be informed by a member of staff.
  • Children participating in activities at Mossy Club must wear appropriate footwear and will not be allowed to participate if they do not comply with this rule. 

In the event of Mossy Club being cancelled, which may happen on occasion, parents will be given as much notice as possible.
